SCOREMORE DOING IT AGAIN!

LC is always excited to let you know what our boy Sascha and the team at SCOREMORE are up to again! They are doing what they do best, and bringing you; ATX more DOPE shows! Below we have the official line up which kicks off this week 3/5 and for SXSW 2010.

-FIRST UP-
POLARIS AND SCOREMORE PRESENT...

“The sound of underground US hip-hop getting to grips with dub-step and coming out
of the collision rather well. A rich injection of transatlantic new blood into dub-step’s
gene pool.” –
Mixmag

PANTyRAiD creates songs that each hold their own
unique character and intention, with the ability to
drift over into both the classical and electronic
genres. With constant variations in beat, and an overwhelming palette of instrumentation,
audio tricks, melodies, and techniques,
PANTyRAiD’s production reflects close attention to
detail, taking their audience along a lavishly ambient electronic journey. The fusion between
MartyParty and Ooah has ignited a movement that revisits the power of melodic and
instrumental composition, together inventing a formula for producing intense club tracks that
unite gorgeous, electronic soundscapes with hard-hitting, grimy beats that reference hip-hop
and dub-step, with experimental, global sounds that resonate throughout. The result is a new
flavor of urban beat – a fresh, new, sexy sound that redefines the power, relevance, and
longevity of electronic music.

“Beba” featured on
PANTyRAiD’s debut release The Sauce, is a “sonic safari” with
“snapping and frozen beats [that] tear into ones mind, yet its structure and groove make this
one of the hottest tracks on [the] album. LA’s
Glitch Mob has splintered both literally and
musically as these shattered hip hop beats take huge strides forward for lovers of Dilla,
Prefuse, Flylo, and the more recent wUnKy upstarts of Paul White, Rustie and Bullion”

-APRIL; watch out ATX it continues...-

4/2 - MiMoSA + HEYOKA

Mimosa takes listeners on a journey through warm rhythmic sound-scapes, with melodies and vocal samples smoothly crafted to help navigate the sonic terrain. Using basslines inspired by hip-hop classics like Too Short and Dr Dre, combined with deep psychedelic textures reminiscent of the downtempo and midtempo output by Tipper and Bluetec, Mimosa blends the range of styles to create his own fresh take on the west coast sound. Mimosa's debut EP release, Hostilis, presents tracks with heavy-hitting low frequencies, sexy grooves, and uplifting dub infusions, floating between instrumental Hip Hop and Dubstep. The Hostilis EP also features prolific MC Souleye from Colorado, known for his extensive touring with jam bands like BLVD and STS9. The track 'Framboise' features beautiful vocal textures provided by Canadian artist Sasha Butterfly Rose.

HEYOKA Live
Muti Music

Heyoka AKA Andrei Olenev is another cosmic auditory scientist found in the Bay Area noosphere, who recently delighted us with his auditory manipulations. Muti Music first released Heyoka’s “Space Case EP” in 2008 and included him on their growing roster of talented artists. Heyoka is fast becoming one of San Francisco’s hottest new producer / performers on the scene. His early influences in Downtempo, Dub and IDM combined with more recent midtempo dancefloor genres from the likes of Bassnectar, Glitch Mob and An-ten-nae have helped create a very unique sound that combines relentless basslines, hip hop and dub rhythms with a lot of musicality and melody.Heyokas’ earlier works were identifiable by their crushing basslines and ‘spacey’ blips and glitches, ‘Pineal Dub’ shows progression from Heyoka as a producer with greater use of negative space and ethereal melodies that can only be heard as melancholy or wickedly cheerful. The response to his emergence so far has been overwhelming with Heyoka opening nights for Tipper, Benga & Skream amongst others.

MANY MORE....But we cant give you too much at once, so stay tuned to LC Enterprises because we will let you know soon enough. Thanks again to Sascha and the whole team at SCOREMORE!
